  • ‘Venezia è unica’ (Venice is unique) stems from a return to the artist’s hometown after years spent elsewhere, and from the desire to observe it with a renewed gaze. Moving away from iconic and pre-coded imagery, the project focuses on minute details and everyday fragments, entrusting color with the role of guide and narrative voice.

Through diptychs that pair photographs linked by chromatic affinities, a web of coincidences and invisible relationships emerges. The result is a choral and silent narrative, in which Venice does not impose itself through its most recognizable image, but reveals itself in its most intimate and unexpected aspects.

The title recalls the phrase printed on the vaporetto navigation maps — an institutional, repeated voice, here placed in dialogue with casual, unplanned ones.
